Happy International Family Day!! Today we would like to shed some light on the importance of safe and healthy homes.

Families should feel secure where they live, but many are facing conditions that put their health at risk due to being unable to cover the expense of necessary home repairs.

A report by the National Low Income Housing Coalition found that low-income families living in substandard housing are more likely to experience health problems, including chronic diseases, injuries, and infectious diseases.

Safe housing isn’t just about shelter... it’s about protecting families. ❤️

This single mother works hard to create stability for her family. Like many families, rising costs make it difficult to keep up with major repairs, especially something as critical as the roof. After experiencing leaking in the bedrooms, she applied for the roof replacement program... and we could not be happier to support this family with a safe roof over their heads.

One week from today, we get to work.

Roofs from the Heart, alongside Southbridge CDC, is proud to officially kick off our Thriving Communities Grant project in Wilmington, DE.

This initiative will bring full roof replacements, HVAC systems, and water heaters to 8 homes in the Southbridge neighborhood—creating safer, healthier living conditions for families who deserve it.
