Lawrence County, Ohio has upgraded to a Level 2 Snow Emergency. The road conditions are worsening with the current snowfall. Please use caution if you must be out. State and County road crews are currently treating the roads. However, the frigid ground temperatures and remaining ice on the roadways are making for hazardous driving conditions.

Stay Safe,

Sheriff Jeff Lawless

Today has been a long day for us, we started at 2 a.m to a call for a structure fire. We received aid from station 1200 and 1300 on scene and roughly 2 hours later we were alerted again to a fully involved fire. We were assisted once again by station 1200 and 1300 plus the assistance of station 100 and 300. We were there for a few hours but we were re-alerted around 1:30 p.m to a rekindle of a downed wall. We remained on scene for a couple of hours getting everything taken care of. Then around 5:30 we were alerted to a brush fire and with the assistance of station 100 we were able to get the fire out in a few minutes. It really does take a community and we definitely appreciate everyone who helped out today. Thanks again. Also thank you to ODOT for coming out and spreading salt on the roads to keep everyone safe and Lawrence County Dispatch and Lawrence County EMS and the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department.

Please don’t be out on the roads tonight unless you absolutely have to be. There are multiple wrecks across the county and with falling temperatures and wet roads it’s making horrible conditions. I’m sure the road crews are out there treating the roads so if you have to go out be patient and allow yourself extra time. Be careful everyone!

We would like to thank Wilson Family Farm and Br'er Cliff Farm for letting us 🐝 a part of this amazing event! It was a great day for the community to get together and 🐝 outside.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to the 2nd Annual Lawrence Co. Honey Fest today! 🐝💛 Your presence, support, and energy are what make this event so special, and we are truly grateful for each of you who spent part of your day with us.

Stay tuned as we’ll be sharing a list of our wonderful beekeepers and vendors later today. And if you were at Honey Fest between 10a–noon, you may have spotted our photographer bopping around. We’ll have that photo gallery ready for you tomorrow! 📸

In the meantime, we’d love to hear from you. If you have any constructive feedback on how we can make next year’s Honey Fest even sweeter, please feel free to send a message directly to Br'er Cliff Farm or Wilson Family Farm.

Thank you again for helping us celebrate bees, community, and local goodness. 💛

Come on out and see us over at the 2nd Annual Honey Fest.
