🏕️ WHY CUB SCOUTS?

Because childhood should have some adventure in it. 💙💛

Cub Scouts gives kids opportunities to:

🌲 Explore the outdoors
🪢 Learn practical skills
🔬 Experiment and discover
🛠️ Build things with their own hands
🤝 Serve their community
⭐ Work toward goals
👋 Make new friends
💪 Try things that might be a little challenging
👨‍👩‍👧 Make memories with their families

Not every Scout will love every activity — and that's actually part of the adventure!

They get opportunities to try new things, discover new interests and find out what they're capable of.

🌲 PACK 42 SCOUT SKILLS: LEAVE NO TRACE

Part of having outdoor adventures is learning how to take care of the places we explore.

Cub Scouts learn simple habits that can make a BIG difference:

🥾 Stay on appropriate trails
🗑️ Pack out our trash
🌼 Leave plants and natural objects where we find them
🐿️ Respect wildlife
🏕️ Take care of campsites and outdoor spaces
💙 Leave a place ready for the next person to enjoy

Scouting isn't only about getting kids outdoors.

It's also about teaching them to become good stewards of the outdoors.

Leave it better than you found it! 🌲

💙 CUB SCOUTS IS A FAMILY ADVENTURE! 💛

One of the things that makes Cub Scouts special is that kids don't have to experience it alone.

Parents and families get to be part of the memories, too!

🏕️ Come along on adventures
🎣 Go fishing together
🥾 Explore outdoors
🚀 Help with activities
🤝 Volunteer when you can
👏 Cheer Scouts on as they learn something new

You don't have to be an outdoor expert.

You don't have to know every knot.

And you definitely don't have to become a Den Leader just because you offered to help once. 😉

Sometimes helping Pack 42 simply means lending an extra pair of hands.

The more families participate, the more adventures we can give our Scouts. 💙💛

Tonight was Awards Night for Pack 42! 🎉⚜️

Our Scouts received belt loops, pins, and certificates for the adventures they have completed and the skills they have learned.

Cub Scout adventures cover many different areas, including outdoor skills, safety, teamwork, service, fitness, citizenship, creativity, and family activities. Each completed adventure helps Scouts work toward their rank while building confidence, learning new things, and practicing how to do their best.

We are proud of all our Pack 42 Scouts and everything they are accomplishing! 💙💛

Cub Scouts is open to boys and girls in kindergarten through fifth grade. Interested families are welcome to message our page and arrange a visit!

🐾 DID YOU KNOW? CUB SCOUTS GROW THROUGH SIX DIFFERENT RANKS!

Each rank is designed around a Scout's grade level, with adventures and activities that grow right along with them.

🦁 Lion — Kindergarten
🐯 Tiger — 1st Grade
🐺 Wolf — 2nd Grade
🐻 Bear — 3rd Grade
⚜️ Webelos — 4th Grade
🏹 Arrow of Light — 5th Grade

Each year brings new adventures, skills and challenges as Scouts work their way toward Arrow of Light and prepare for the next chapter of Scouting.

And kids don't have to start in kindergarten!

A 3rd grader can join Bears.
A 4th grader can join Webelos.
A 5th grader can join Arrow of Light.

It's okay to start your Scouting adventure wherever you are. 💙💛
