Happy Thanksgiving from the Upward Leadership Council. Today we had the opportunity to make Thanksgiving meal boxes for those in our community. We were able to make 40+ boxes to help those in need alongside Operation Care by giving them a thanksgiving meal along with a dessert plate. We want to give a HUGE thanks to Mill Town Place and Raines in Williamston for donating to-go boxes for us to pack meals. We couldn’t have done it without them. Our members got to deliver the boxes to each house , and got to see the joy on everyone’s face after they received their meal!

SEASON THREE..
In honor of the holiday season, we are participating in the Town of Williamston's Tree Display and Competition. Our members kicked off their Thanksgiving Break by heading to Town Hall to set up our tree. The tree includes ornaments that show all of our projects and serve as a warm memory of those who we have reached through our organization. Remember to stop by Town Hall soon to visit our display; it's in the right hall. We would love if you would vote for our tree! This will help publicize our organization and bring attention to our causes.

For the end of October Upward Leadership wanted to give back to the first responders who do so much for our cities! We visited the Williamston Police Station, the South Greenville Fire Department, and the Cheddar Fire Department. We delivered sweet treats to them as an appreciation for everything they do! We cannot thank you enough!

We know it's been a while since you've seen Upward
Leadership! For our first October Project, our members showed up to "Boo in the Park". We love to serve the community even if it's just giving out candy! We would like to thank our Williamston SC town hall for giving us this opportunity to come out and have a blast with all the dressed up kids! We have plenty of projects planned for the next few months, so stay tuned!

“Tonight, the Mayor, Council, and WPD recognized members of the Upstate Leadership Council for assisting in preparing for an upcoming assessment by the SC Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission in compliance with 304 best practice standards. The members of the Upstate Leadership Council provided relocation and reorganization of legacy records related to records management. Members of the group who were recognized tonight were Summer Crist, Lillie Finley, Tyler Ledbetter, and Weston Pack. Accreditation Manager Wes Smith presented the group with the Police Letter of Commendation, the highest award given for meritorious achievement or outstanding service. The service provided by these young men and women is invaluable and has been essential in preparation for the accreditation assessment. We extend our sincere thanks for their help and their service to Williamston.”

For our December Project, we hosted a toy drive at Palmetto High School in a partnership with NHS and Beta Club. All toys went to Calvary Baptist Church’s Annual Community Christmas. Our members took part in the event and helped make it a magical experience for all!

This was a wonderful holiday season, and we are so thankful for all those who donated toys, money, and supported our social media!

It’s Christmas Time! Upward Leadership is partnering with Calvary Baptist Church for their annual Community Christmas Event.

We will be contributing through the event, but this is a chance for you to help us! They are in need of $5-$15 toys and gifts such as Barbies, coloring books, arts and craft supplies, soaps and lotions, etc.

PALMETTO HIGH STUDENTS: If you are in Beta Club or NHS hours, you can bring in 2 toys for 1 hour with a max of 2 hours. If you want to contribute through Upward, we wrap up on December 9th!

We know it’s been a while since you’ve seen Upward Leadership, but we have been busy!

For our October Project, our members organized First Responder Care Packages. These included protein bars, chips, baked goods, cases of Gatorade and water, and blankets. We are firm believers in serving those who serve us. We would like to thank our local firefighters, police officers, and paramedics for protecting us and our safety, every single day. We hope those care packages properly show the gratitude we have for our first responders!

Upward Leadership Council is announcing a raffle! We love serving our community, but there is always a need for more funds to support our projects. All proceeds will be used in future missions.
