Meet Matt! Matt is a second year member, serving at Williamsport Middle School. He provides guidance and support to local students. Matt has learned a lot about himself and the community. Member Spotlight!
Meet Mallory, a self-proclaimed "confused" college student who wanted to serve her community. She is currently serving at Mill Hall Elementary School as a student mentor and since starting her term, she has decided that she wants to become a teacher.

Member Spotlight!
Say hello to Paula, STEP AmeriCorps member serving at the Clinton County Housing Authority. Paula helps to provide extra programming for residents from children to seniors. She inspires resident participation with her friendly, outgoing personality. A lot of people think that AmeriCorps is only for recent high school or college graduates, but citizens of all ages can serve and members who are 55 or older when they join AmeriCorps can gift their education award to a child or grandchild. When asked what Paula would say to someone thinking of joining STEP AmeriCorps, Paula said, "Join! You will be amazed at what and who you can help." Thank you for your service, Paula!

Meet Shawna, STEP AmeriCorps member serving at Infant Development Program in Lock Haven. Shawna provides positive guidance for preschool aged children and helps to create a nurturing environment in the classroom. Since starting her term with STEP AmeriCorps, Shawna has learned about the importance of working together as a community and that her strengths far outweigh her weaknesses. When asked what she would tell someone who is thinking of joining AmeriCorps, she responded, "Do it! It's the best experience for growing as a person and community member."
