Firecracker 5K is BACK for year ✌️ in Williamsburg! 🎆 Lace up and join us on July 4th, 2026 as we raise funds to expand our beautiful trail, bring fitness to the community, and welcome runners and walkers from beyond.

Another check for the trail!

A big shout out to Brother’s Market AND the Williamsburg community who said “yes” to round up for the trail project.

Collectively, this raised $1300 which includes round up money and a donation from Brother’s Market.

We’ve been a little silent lately but there is still progress being made! We applied for several large grants & are waiting to hear back on those. Once we get the results this fall, we will give an update. Donations can still be made to City of W’burg.

Here are the results for the 5K on Saturday!

We did miss some folks who came in later, and there were some bibs we either missed or made some confusing notes for ourselves!

We apologize for any errors and oversight! We sincerely appreciate everyone being patient with us as we figure out how to put these events on!

This was new to our committee and we recognize we have many opportunities for growth to make sure every one of all ages and abilities feels valued!

We cannot thank everyone enough who attended, volunteered, sponsored, donated, ran, walked, spectated, and cheered.

You are all appreciated, and we look forward to keep working to expand this trail for our amazing community!
