Utility companies in Pennsylvania have agreed that homes eligible for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) will not face shut-offs of heat or electricity beginning November 1. Once the federal government shutdown ends, Pennsylvania’s Department of Human Services will get the funding for LIHEAP and will start accepting applications.
