NEW HOME RIBBON CUTTING
Wickenburg Area Habitat for Humanity was proud to hand over the keys to the recently completed single family home building project to their newest Habitat family during a ribbon cutting ceremony on November 18th, 2023. The home located in Congress, AZ marks the 25th building project WAHFH has completed as part of its Affordable Housing Program since the organization’s inception in 1993.
The project was made possible due to the collaborative efforts of local sub-contractors and the overwhelming generosity of local sponsors, H & H Building Solutions (foundation and framing), Art Barber Excavating (excavation, fill dirt and grading), Blue’s Plumbing (plumbing and fixtures), Foxworth Galbraith Lumber (lumber and trusses), Martin Marietta (concrete material), Milgard Windows and Doors and General Contractor, Magnolia Design Build. Their contributions of material and labor to the project generated approx $80,000 in direct savings to the cost of the home. The homeowners contributed over 300 hours of sweat equity into the building of their home as well as some local volunteers who stepped up to the plate to help out. WAHFH cannot express their gratitude enough to all who were a part of this endeavor.
Welcome to your new home Jacob, Makayla, Jocelyn and Jamison
