1st Pedal for Paxtons Blessing Box Ride
Day 8️⃣ ✅ Thank you sweet baby Jesus. WE DID IT!
My apologies for the delay on our final day to ride. It wasn’t pretty at all. Actually one of the ugliest. Seeing the sign leaving Kansas was overwhelming and it’s the first time in my life I can honestly say anything positive about Missouri. 😅❤️💙 Rock Chalk Forever!
We rode for Allmetal Recycling, LLC! We are so grateful for their support throughout this journey! We absolutely could not have kept going without community support!
Last leg was from Ottawa to the state line. Levi and I have chatted so much about the experience and that it absolutely was phenomenal. I learned so much. I learned how beautiful our state is and how proud I am to be from here. 500 miles gives you a lot of time for soul searching. It was hard, and incredible, and rewarding, and painful beyond belief. We started day 1 at 17 degrees and to be honest didn’t really improve aside from 2 days in the middle of this journey. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Levi was an amazing teammate, partner, counselor, doctor, therapist…and boyfriend all wrapped up into one incredible human. ❤️ My parents, Paxton and all the love and support online was exactly what we needed to keep our pedals in motion. I knew and thought I was prepared for being in the saddle for 8 days and boy was I wrong! 😑 I wore 2 pairs of padded bibs from Day 2 on and it saved everyone’s lives that was within arms reach. Snicker bars were often my reward and I loved every second of it. I couldn’t be more proud to ride for Paxtons Blessing Box.
So, a few last thoughts…. Some have asked if we will do it again. 😅 Let’s just say if I do we will absolutely ride more than 150 miles to prepare for the 500 mile jaunt. 😪 We are so close to our goal!!! I will be baking for Christmas and will post the goods later this week. I actually really missed baking this Thanksgiving for everyone… and it showed by our dessert table. 😅 and I will get shirts distributed this week and post what we have left.
Appreciate each and every one of you for continuing to support all my crazy ideas. 😬🚴
😵💫🙏🏼😎😪
