Por este medio deseamos informarles que el día de hoy, 5 de febrero de 2026, aproximadamente a las 7:00 a.m., se observó la presencia de dos vehículos, presuntamente pertenecientes a ICE, los cuales interceptaron a otro automóvil en el estacionamiento de nuestra tienda ubicada en la calle Douglas.

Los agentes procedieron a interrogar a una persona y, posteriormente, se retiraron del lugar sin interactuar con nadie más. Según lo manifestado por la misma persona que fue interrogada, las autoridades se encontraban buscando a alguien en específico.

Como parte de nuestro compromiso con la comunidad, consideramos importante compartir esta información de manera transparente y veraz, con el fin de mantenerlos debidamente informados.

Entendemos que este tipo de situaciones pueden dar lugar a rumores o malentendidos que generan preocupación innecesaria. Por ello, Carnicerías El Güero desea comunicar directamente los hechos tal como ocurrieron.

Our people are not bargaining chips.

We are grateful to have been invited to speak about ICTalert at the ICT x Ogala Sioux Solidarity Concert tomorrow night!

If you’re unable to participate it would be so appreciated if you’re able to donate OR take the time to share this event.

Just like with all anti-ICE organizing, the more eyes on the problem the better.

Hey everybody, this Thursday the 29th we are performing at Kirby's with a fantastic slate of artists to foster solidarity with the Oglala Sioux Tribe. Earlier this month, ICE kidnapped 3 members of the tribe and held them hostage, withholding information unless the tribe signs onto an "immigration agreement" with loose details that would essentially grant ICE access to the Pine Ridge Reservation and undercut their sovereignty.

Tribal territories face some of the worst economic conditions in the country due to continuing colonial violence that tries to force reliance on the state and parasitic levers of capitalism. This further empowers extraction and enacts genocide on a daily basis.

This is why building a bridge between our city and First Nations is so important.

We ask that you come with donations to contribute to potential legal costs associated with the ICE kidnapping and to bring any number of items in urgent need on the reservation. You can find the reservation's list of specific items through the top link on the second slide. Funds and resources will be directly transferred to the Pine River Reservation. In addition, we will provide resources for combatting ICE in Wichita to strengthen our community. Hope to cya there!

We’ve decided on a new format to make everyone aware of community sightings that are supported by pictures + descriptions.
Examples: intersections/streets, time & date, important things not visible in the photo.

This is meant to make the community aware of the vehicles, especially easy to spot vehicles, in our city. ICE is scary, but we aren’t alone in this. Stick together, dress for the weather, and f**k ICE.

Thank you for your support and your assistance keeping Wichita alert.

Hemos decidido en un nuevo formato para que todos estén al tanto de los avistamientos en la comunidad, respaldados por fotos y descripciones. Ejemplos: intersecciones/calles, la hora/ la fecha, detalles importantes que no se ven en la foto.

El objetivo es que la comunidad esté al tanto de los vehículos, especialmente de aquellos fáciles de identificar en nuestra ciudad. ICE es una organización siniestra pero no estamos solos. Mantengámonos unidos. Abríguense . ¡Y que chinga la migra!

🚨 CALL TO ACTION | Kansas Communities
(Thanks to our friends at Kansas Immigration Coalition for compiling this information)

SB 254 / HB 2373 is a harmful bill that would strip in-state tuition from undocumented Kansas students, expand immigration enforcement into state and local agencies, and undermine due process by presuming non-citizens are a “flight risk.”

SB 254 would:
- Eliminate in-state tuition for undocumented Kansas students

- Mislabel reduced tuition as a “public benefit”

- Force state and local agencies into immigration status checks

- Undermine due process and increase risk of detention without bond

Students impacted by this bill have grown up in Kansas, attended Kansas schools, paid taxes with their families, and are working toward degrees that strengthen our workforce and economy.

In-state tuition is a recognition of reality and a smart investment in Kansas’ future.

This bill would not improve public safety or save taxpayer dollars. It would create barriers to education, harm families, and weaken Kansas’ economic stability.

We urge Kansas legislators to OPPOSE SB 254 / HB 2373.
