Thank you to our amazing community for showing up and supporting us today, we are beyond grateful. We also appreciate your patience; as you saw, making delicious bread takes time, and the love put into it makes it all worth it.

Today was a beautiful reminder of how our community comes together for one another. From the women who generously donated food and supplies, to the incredible Native women who dedicated their time and skill to making the bread, everything was done with the shared purpose of giving back.

We also want to recognize our Native men and young boys who showed up and supported throughout the day, your presence and help mean so much, and we truly couldn’t do this without you.

And we are especially proud of the young Native girls who were there helping all day. Your willingness to step up, learn, and be part of this work is inspiring. You are the future of our community, and it was an honor to see you in action.

Our hearts are full, thank you all for being part of something so special.

Lastly, a big thank you to Mid-America All-Indian Museum for inviting us to be a part of this wonderful event!

Today at the Kansas Governor’s Public Health Conference, I had the opportunity to meet a former U.S. Surgeon General- Dr. Jerome Adams, reminding me that our [Native] voices belong in every room where decisions are made. By connecting with leaders, we open doors for advocacy, resources, and culturally grounded solutions that uplift our people. Representation matters, relationships matter, and showing up matters. Building connections like this is how we create real change for our Native communities.

Pathways to the Skies is a first-of-its-kind, no-cost, two-day virtual symposium hosted by the Native American Aviation Association (NAAA) on February 10 & 11, 2026, designed to introduce Tribal communities across the country to the full range of career opportunities in the aviation industry. Bringing together leaders from major aviation companies, educators, Tribal leaders, and workforce development experts, the event will provide accessible, practical insight into careers spanning piloting, maintenance, airport operations, air traffic control, aerospace engineering, UAS/drone technology, business aviation, and Tribal aviation as economic development. Created to address long-standing gaps in awareness, access, and clear career pathways, the symposium aims not only to educate but to launch sustained engagement through mentorship, training, and industry partnerships, ensuring Native talent has a clear and lasting on-ramp into one of the world’s most dynamic and opportunity-rich industries.
