KPA Visit to Hesston College of Aviation – March 3, 2026

Members of KPA had the opportunity to visit the Hesston College Aviation program at the Newton/County Airport on March 3rd. Mike Baker, Director of Aviation at Hesston College, gave us a great overview of the program and took time to answer many questions.

Thank you, Mike, for your time, hospitality, and professionalism. It was a very informative visit.

If you’re not already a member, consider joining the Kansas Pilots Association. Membership is only $30 per year and it’s a great way to meet fellow aviators, attend informative meetings, and participate in fun fly-outs.

Reach out to any KPA member and they can help you get signed up, or visit:

Tyler Smith has invited all of us to stop by 9K8 (Kingman, KS) after the fly-out for food, drink and a special showing of “Strategic Air Command”. The movie will start at 3 PM so we have plenty of time to get there, have fun, and leave before night fall.

(Also, Kingman has lowered their fuel price to 4.95!)
