Welcome to the Circle. Founded in 2012 by Vicki Bond, Raise My Head Foundation is a residential program for women who have survived lives of human trafficking, addiction, abuse and life on the streets. A few distinctive characteristics of the Raise My Head Program:
For two years, we offer housing, food, medical and dental needs, therapy, education and job training without charging the residents.
Our home functions without 24-hour live-in staff, relying on residents to create a supportive community, maintain recovery, and share household tasks.
The women of Raise My Head range in age from 20-50. Raise My Head residents have suffered years of physical and s*xual abuse, complex trauma and lives on the street.
Modeled after a successful program in Nashville, Tennessee called House of Magdalene, (Thistle Farms). Raise My Head Foundation has two full time staff members versed in trauma, human trafficking, addiction, and the services needed to begin the path to healing from complex trauma. Tami BSN RN Executive Director. Nicole MHCL, MFT Program Director. We furnish housing for 4-6 women. We provide a safe, healing and nurturing environment for our residents to heal and regain their strength and lives. After 12 month, the women find work, return to school and/or enter Raise My Head’s job training program at The Cottage Industry, a social enterprise. Raise My Head programs are grounded in love, faith, acceptance and trauma informed care. We have individual programs and plans set up for each resident to learn to heal and function outside of their bo***ge from trafficking. Raise My Head was founded not only to help women whom have been human trafficked , but also to help transform the culture itself. We stand in solidarity with women who are recovering from abuse,
trafficking, addiction, and life on the streets, and who have paid dearly for a culture that continues to buy and sell women. We stand as a witness to the truth that in the end, love is the most powerful force for change in the world.
