The Y is a non-profit, volunteer-led community organization, serving the community since 1885. As a 501(c)(3), our income is reinvested in the Y to perpetuate our charitable purpose. The Y makes communities better places to live through programs that relate to our Judeo-Christian mission while nurturing youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Y ensures all kids have the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve. The Y improves the community’s health and well-being as it brings families closer together, encouraging good nutrition and physical activity. The Y serves:
-270,000 participants at more than 130 program sites.
-2 out of 3 local kids.
-As the region’s largest provider of child care, summer day camp, swim lessons, youth sports, health & wellness, and after school programs.
-Those in need, with $10 million in free and assisted services and the help of almost 10,000 donors.
