Wichitans to dress up for Dress for Success Hollywood Glam-themed Boo & Brew Ball

Dress for Success Wichita's 15th annual Boo & Brew Ball, for which proceeds directly benefit women looking to re-enter the workforce and become financially self-sufficient, will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight, Saturday, Oct. 29, at Venue 3130.

“It’s a unique and fun event with great food, music and unbelievably c

reative costumes,” said Portia Portugal, Executive Director for Dress for Success. In addition to providing the women it serves with an interview-appropriate outfit, Dress for Success Wichita provides career development tools and a network of support to help women thrive in work and in life. This year’s event will have a formal masquerade theme, featuring live music by Annie Up, a group and individual costume contest, heavy hors d’oeuvres and adult beverages, live and silent auctions, a costume contest and an opportunity to take part in an exclusive giveaway for a pair of diamond earrings.

“All proceeds benefit Dress for Success Wichita. These dollars stay here in the community and support local women. Last year, we raised $11,000 making it possible to help over 30 women gain economic independence,” said Portia.

Last check-in for B&BB 2017. We were so thrilled with the great attendance and increased participation in Champagne and Diamonds this year. We also saw an increase in sponsorship and auction dollars.
