September is also Su***de Prevention & Awareness Month.

September is National Recovery Month!

Open AA meetings are held at Livingston Family Center on Sundays at 8:00 PM. Open to those just starting their recovery or those continuing to recover.

Open meetings are available to anyone interested in Alcoholics Anonymous’ program of recovery from alcoholism. Nonalcoholics may attend open meetings as observers.

Free family fun at Cheney State Park!

It’s that time of the year!!!!

Our yearly OK Kids Day Event will be September 26th from 4pm-6pm at the Ninnescah Sailing Association on the West Shore!!

This is a FREE event for all family’s to bring their kiddos out to enjoy an evening of fun in the great outdoors!

We will provide a free hotdog dinner, with chips and water, various outdoor activities for family’s to enjoy, and a free raffle for the kids to win some prizes!

We hope to see everyone come out and have a fun evening at the lake!

Kids are the boss of their bodies!

Children get to decide who touches them and how. That includes hugs, kisses, high-fives, and other physical affection. Adults are not entitled to a child’s body or affection just because they’re adults.

Instead of “Give Grandma a hug!” try “Would you like a hug, a high-five, or a wave?”

Teaching kids about bodily autonomy and healthy boundaries helps them learn that their no matters, and that they should respect other people’s boundaries, too.

If you’re interested in learning more, our Personal Safety Awareness Program teaches preschool and elementary-aged children age-appropriate personal safety skills and our Protective Parenting Program helps adults learn how to teach and reinforce these skills at home.
