🚀SkillBuilders + Academic Boost!

🔁Shift Happens Part I: Gave our youth the opportunity to talk about shifting their mindset and believing in themselves. Sometimes the biggest change starts with changing the way we think! 🧠💪🏾✨

📚 Academic Boost was also a success! Today, we welcomed both new and returning students back for another season of learning, support, and academic growth. We’re excited to see what this year brings! 🎓📖

🚨 TUTORING UPDATE:

Our K–5 elementary tutoring is currently CLOSED.

However, our 6th–12th grade tutoring is OPEN! 🎉
If you have a middle or high school student, this is a great opportunity for them to stay active, engaged, supported, and learning after normal school hours. 💙

📚✨ SEPTEMBER IS HERE! 💙💗

We have an exciting month planned for our students! From personal growth to academic support, we’re creating opportunities for youth to learn, lead, and grow. 🌱

🧠 SHIFT HAPPENS SERIES
Every Tuesday | 6:30–8:30 PM

Students will explore mindset, habits, their circle, and goals while building tools to navigate academic, social, and emotional challenges with confidence.

📚 ACADEMIC BOOST TUTORING STARTS THIS MONTH!
Every Wednesday
6th–12th Grade | 7:00–8:30 PM

🚨 K–5 tutoring is officially CLOSED, but we still have space for 6th–12th grade students! If your student could use extra academic support this school year, get them signed up by visiting our website (Join Us tab)

🌎 HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH CELEBRATION
September 29

Students will explore Hispanic and Latino history, culture, art, traditions, food, music, and more through hands-on activities!

Today with Equity Initiative’s Skill Builders Program, our youth ended the month with games, activities, laughter, and a little friendly competition! 🏆🙌🏽

We loved watching them socialize & connect! 💙✨ And the best part? We gave them a sneak peek at what’s coming with our next series in September! 👀🔥

August was a vibe, but September is about to be even better! 🚀💫

What a day!

Our Back to School Community Giveback was a huge success, and we're so grateful to everyone who came out, supported, volunteered, and helped make it possible.

Seeing families come together, kids having fun, and our community showing up for one another is exactly why we do what we do.

A special thank you to our amazing sponsors SunMart, Georgios BBQ, E.P.E., Planted Tea Shop, and Hope for da Hood for helping us pour back into Wichita families.

We're proud of what we were able to accomplish together and we're just getting started.
