We started Compassion in SGV because we care about PEOPLE. That has always been the heart of this organization—showing up for our community with empathy, humanity, and action.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by what’s happening in the world right now, you’re not alone. We are too. This moment feels heavy because it is heavy.
But caring deeply is not weakness—it’s strength. And while it’s easy to feel hopeless, we believe in the power of collective compassion.
Right now, we’re seeing an increase in ICE activity, and it’s more important than ever that we show up for each other. This is not about politics. It’s about humanity.
Here are a few ways you can help:
• Know your rights – Everyone, regardless of immigration status, has rights. Share resources to help others stay informed.
• Don’t spread fear – Be mindful of how you talk about raids or sightings. Confirm information and share responsibly.
• Report ICE activity – You can report sightings to groups like or local rapid response hotlines.
• Support local orgs – Donate to or volunteer with organizations doing on-the-ground work, like .
• Check in – If you have undocumented friends, neighbors, or coworkers, a simple “Are you okay?” can go a long way.
We believe in a San Gabriel Valley that is safe, compassionate, and informed. Let’s protect one another.
Please take care of yourselves. Rest when you need to. Protect your peace. Then, when you’re ready, come back to the work. We need each other now more than ever. 🤍
