Big First Inning Leads EC Renegades JR BR Past Optimist Jr Baberuth

EC Renegades JR BR defeated Optimist Jr Baberuth 12-5 on Saturday at E. J. Block Stadium Park thanks in part to seven runs in the first inning. Alejandro JR Zaragoza singled, scoring one run, Amada De La Cerda was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, a wild pitch scored one run, Aliannah Duarte drew a walk, scoring one run, Aiden Considine doubled, scoring two runs, and a wild pitch scored one run.
Optimist Jr Baberuth got on the board in the top of the first inning after , and Blaine Jorsch walked, each scoring one run.
Mariano Gonzalez led things off on the mound for EC Renegades JR BR. The pitcher allowed three hits and five runs (four earned) over four innings, striking out eight and walking four. Paul Gard started the game for Optimist Jr Baberuth. The starter gave up five hits and seven runs over three innings, striking out six and walking three. Angelo Reyes tossed one inning of scoreless ball for EC Renegades JR BR in relief. The reliever surrendered zero hits, striking out three and walking none.
