Whiteville Civitan Club

Whiteville Civitan Club Whiteville Civitan Club is a community service club. We support The Boys and Girls home of Lake Waccamaw NC and Whiteville Special Olympics among others

We are a club that is under the umbrella of Civitan International, a worldwide nonprofit group established in 1917. There are over 40,000 Civitans in 38 countries around the world, all dedicated to serving their communities. Our Whiteville Civitan Club serves our community by supporting the following:

Boys and Girls Homes (Lake Waccamaw NC)
Boy Scouts
Girl

Scouts of Coastal Carolina
Columbus County Literacy Council
Columbus County Red Cross
Families First
Recreation Center
Whiteville High School Scholarship
Whiteville Rescue Squad
Youth Baseball
On an international level, Civitan is devoted to improving the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities. Civitan's flagship program is the Civitan International Research Center at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the first institution of its kind in the United States to be solely dedicated to research of developmental disabilities.
