Mark your calendars! Badges & Bats is officially set for SEPTEMBER 19–20 at Earnest Cook Park in Whitesburg!

Today wasn't the ending we had hoped for, but our 10u softball girls have absolutely nothing to hang their heads about. They left every ounce of heart, determination, and grit on that field.

Just making it to the World Series is something most teams only dream about, and our 10U girls proved exactly why they deserved to be there. They represented their coaches, parents, families, friends, Letcher County, Kentucky, and everyone cheering them on back home with pride.

They stood toe-to-toe with incredible teams from Florida, Texas, Alabama, North Carolina, and Puerto Rico. They leave Alabama with two hard-fought wins, one tie, unforgettable memories, and friendships that will last a lifetime.

They battled through scorching temperatures, exhausting days, and the toughest competition they've ever faced. They never quit. They never stopped believing in one another. They played for the name on the front of their jerseys and the people who believed in them every step of the way.

The scoreboard may not tell the whole story, but their journey does. These girls inspired us with their resilience, their teamwork, and their love for the game. They showed what it means to compete with heart, to fight until the final out, and to represent your hometown with pride.
Girls, you have given Letcher County every reason to be proud. You are already champions in the eyes of so many, and this is only the beginning of your story. Hold your heads high, because you've accomplished something truly special.

They're back on the field at 5:00 PM Eastern, and we'd love for everyone to send them all the good luck, love, and prayers as they go after another win.

No one deserves it more than these 12 incredible girls. They have worked so hard, played their hearts out, and continue to represent our county and state with determination and pride.

Our 10U girls are officially on their way to the WORLD SERIES! 🌎💙🥎✨

What an incredible moment—not just for these girls, but for our entire community. Dreams that started on our little ball fields are taking them all the way to Alabama, and we couldn't be more proud.

Please keep these girls, their coaches, and their families in your prayers for safe travels. Pray that they play with confidence, make unforgettable memories, and enjoy every single moment of this once-in-a-lifetime experience. No matter what happens on that field, they've already made Letcher County proud.

To our amazing community—thank you. Thank you for every donation, every fundraiser, every word of encouragement, every share, every prayer, and every person who believed in these girls. Because of you, they're living out a dream. We truly couldn't have done it without you.

To our coaches—there simply aren't enough words to thank you. Thank you for believing in these girls long before they believed in themselves. Thank you for every practice, every late night, every vacation day, every sick day, and every sacrifice you made to help them get here. You've given them so much more than the game of softball—you've given them confidence, friendships, life lessons, and memories they'll carry with them forever. The impact you've made will last far beyond this season.

Everyone, help us send these girls off with all the love, prayers, and good luck we can. Cheer them on from home, because they'll be carrying the heart of Letcher County with them every time they step onto that field.
