This week was a hard week for many reasons…
This is the happiest part of the week as we were on our way back to the farm from working a really horrific case with Animal Rescue Corps.

Rescue is not always what you see on social media. Sitting around cuddling animals- as a matter of fact- it’s almost NEVER that for those of us who do this day in and day out.
Rescue is emotional, it’s sad, it’s messy, it’s expensive, it’s taxing, it’s happy through the hard.

These are the animals we were able to pull that were still alive amongst many, many dead bodies. We saved 10 animals. 7 chickens, 2 turkeys, and one pig. One of the turkeys had to be euthanized bc she was completely filled with maggots eating her from the inside out. I had to be there with her at the vet while she struggled so hard to keep living. The piglet hid so well that TN Agriculture didn’t find her when they removed all of the remaining live pigs that unfortunately met their future at auction. She showed herself after they left and now gets to enjoy sanctuary life. It was a sad, tragic, horrific crime committed by human hands.

We got to leave and change the lives of these few survivors. So happy we get to show them what love looks like.

Update: ADOPTED! 🥰👏🏻🥳

5 female Nubian goats - all female. Gentle and healthy. Owner ran into some health problems and needs them to be rehoused. If you are interested- please text me- 615-428-4551.

Ya’ll go take a trip to Maury County Animal Control. It’s a beautiful facility with so many amazing dogs and cats looking for their forever homes. It’s not far- and definitely worth the trip if you are looking for a new furmily member! 🙏🏻❤️

Maury County Animal Services is begging for adoptions as it faces overcrowding at its shelter.

“We have an SOS going out tonight. We are full,” the shelter wrote online.
