✨ Grant Dollars in Action ✨
Thanks to grant funding, Mrs. Debbie Campbell’s 3rd grade students at Ray Crowe Elementary recently became published authors! 📚✏️
Students used lined journals, book-making materials, markers, cardstock, twine, and more to write and create their very own books. Each student selected an animal topic and wrote three different styles of writing: informational, narrative, and persuasive — all key writing focuses in third grade.
To celebrate their hard work, students participated in a special “Publishing Party” where they shared one of their stories aloud with classmates. After reading, each student autographed their books and added an official “autographed copy” sticker, making them feel like real authors. 💙
Some students signed their names simply, while others added fancy lettering or drawings, inspired by examples of signed books from published child authors. The excitement and pride throughout the classroom was unforgettable as students cheered one another on and celebrated their creativity together.
Thank you, Mrs. Campbell, for creating such a meaningful and memorable learning experience for students through innovative classroom opportunities!
