Reign Tyler Blair was a deeply loved little boy whose life was taken far too soon in an act of violence that has shaken his family and our entire community. On April 24, 2026, Reign was taken from this world, and his death is now being investigated as a homicide by the Montana Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation. His biological mother, Kathryn Lesal Garaas, was arrested and has made her initial court appearance in Jefferson County.
This page was created to honor Reign’s life, support his father Tyler, and give our community a place to gather, remember, and stand beside them in love. Reign was Tyler’s whole world—his purpose, his joy, and the light of his life. Tyler loved his son fiercely and gave him a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion.
For those who knew Reign, this loss is deeply personal. He was a bright, beautiful little soul who brought joy into the lives of so many, and his absence is immeasurable. As we grieve, we ask our community to help carry Tyler through the impossible days ahead—with prayer, support, remembrance, and love. This space is for Reign’s light, for Tyler’s support, and for the justice Reign deserves.

The community vigil for Reign will be held this Friday, May 8 at 8:00 PM at the Whitehall Main Street Green.
Reign’s Celebration of Life will be held separately on Sunday, May 17 at 1:00 PM at Story Mill Park, located at 698 Bridger Dr, Bozeman, MT 59715.
Please note these are two separate gatherings held on different days and in different locations.
