August Participant Spotlight: Haiden!

Haiden, from Kalispell, has been part of the DREAM community for more than a decade! His family first learned about DREAM through his school when he was in first grade, and he began skiing with us around 2013.

These days, summer adventures are Haiden’s favorite. ☀️ He loves DREAM’s watersports program at Echo Lake, has joined us for paddle days the past two years, and is getting ready to add biking to the list!

Nancy shared how much it has meant to watch Haiden discover new ways to enjoy the outdoors:

“Seeing him sit ski at Echo Lake amazed me. It’s wonderful to see him have so much fun. I am so grateful that he has the opportunity to get outside and enjoy summer. I wish all children with disabilities around the country could have the same fun and experiences.”

And for Haiden’s family, DREAM has brought connection, too.

“I also get the opportunity to meet other parents and grandparents. The volunteers are awesome. DREAM rocks. We are so lucky to have them!”

From the ski slopes to Echo Lake, paddle days, and now biking, we’ve loved watching Haiden explore new adventures over the years.

When you participate in the raffle, one lucky fan gets to take home half of the nightly pot and the other half goes directly into the Glacier Range Riders Foundation to support local nonprofits in the Flathead Valley. This year, DREAM is one of the recipients!

This week, we're celebrating the first ripple in DREAM's Ripple Effect: Family. 💙

When one participant has the opportunity to experience the outdoors, the impact reaches far beyond the trail or the mountain. It strengthens families, creates lasting memories, and reminds us that everyone belongs.

Patrick's mom, Erin, beautifully shares what DREAM has meant to her family:

🎣 ☀ We cast a few lines and made some great memories at our very first Community Fishing Day in partnership with Glacier Institute at their beautiful new Nature Center in Columbia Falls!

The day combined hands on fishing instruction and learning about the surrounding natural environment, creating an experience that was about much more than catching fish. We were especially excited to welcome two veterans and look forward to expanding adaptive fishing opportunities for veterans and individuals with disabilities in the years ahead.

A big thank you to The Glacier Institute for collaborating with us on this new program. Here's to many more days on the water together!
