Our Sea Cadets had a hands-on training day focused on real-world fundamentals! From mastering essential knots, learning anchor construction, and understanding mechanical advantage systems, to safely raising and lowering personnel and equipment, cadets put teamwork, problem-solving, and precision into action.
These skills aren’t just about ropes and systems—they’re about trust, communication, leadership, and safety. Every knot tied and system built strengthens confidence and prepares cadets for challenges on land, at sea, and in life.

Join us for a fundraiser at Abby’s Pizza on April 20, 2026, where 20% of all sales during the event will go directly to support the William Higgins Sea Cadets program!
The William Higgins Sea Cadets is a youth leadership program that helps young people build discipline, confidence, and teamwork through activities inspired by the U.S. Navy. Cadets learn valuable skills like leadership, navigation, community service, and maritime training, helping prepare them for future careers and life success.

🌅⚓ Daylight Saving Time & Sea Cadets ⚓🌅
Don’t forget to spring forward tonight! ⏰
Daylight Saving Time begins, and while we may lose an hour of sleep, we gain more daylight to train, learn, and lead. Just like in the Sea Cadets, sometimes we adjust our course and push forward—because preparation and discipline never take a day off.
Extra daylight means more opportunities for drill, navigation training, teamwork, and building the leaders of tomorrow.
Before you turn in tonight: ✔ Set your clocks forward one hour
✔ Get some rest
✔ Be ready to tackle the day like a Sea Cadet

Today we honor the incredible men and women of the U.S. Navy Seabees — the builders, fighters, and problem‑solvers who get the job done no matter the mission.
From constructing bases in remote environments to providing humanitarian aid around the world, Seabees prove every day that strength isn’t just measured on the battlefield, but in the infrastructure, resilience, and hope they build.
