Selenite is finally getting a chance to be a kitten! This one year old beauty was found with her kittens a few months ago - imagine being a mother at 7 months old?!!

Now that her kittens are weaned and she is spayed, she gets to make up for lost time ✨

As a newer rescue with a small foster network, it’s difficult for us to take on cats that are extremely shy and wary of humans. They stay in foster care longer, the costs add up, and it takes daily commitment to building trust to get them adoption ready. We believe every shy cat deserves a chance to thrive, which is why we do our best to find a way to transfer them to a bigger rescue organization!

Although a transfer wasn’t available at the time, we took a chance on Downy and Tide 🧼🫧 a pair of bonded young adults who have proven to be tough nuts to crack. However, thanks to one of our volunteers who visits them often, with offerings of ham & shoelaces, they are starting to realize humans aren’t all bad! We are hopeful they will continue down this path and be adoption-ready in the next couple of months 🤞
