Dolly Parton wasn’t just a country music legend. She was a philanthropic icon who believed in the power of giving to change lives.

Through the Dollywood Foundation’s Imagination Library, Dolly helped put more than 270 million books into the hands of children around the world, giving young readers the opportunity to dream, learn and imagine what’s possible.

That legacy reaches right here in the Ohio Valley. The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley is proud to serve as the fiscal partner for the Imagination Library in Belmont County, Ohio, helping bring Dolly’s vision of childhood literacy to children in our community.

From education and scholarships to disaster relief and medical research, Dolly used her platform to make a difference. We’re grateful to play a small part in carrying one piece of her incredible legacy forward.

Rest in peace, Dolly. Your voice may be missed, but your generosity will be felt for generations to come.

The River Valley Health Fund continues the legacy of the former River Valley Health Foundation, which was established following the sale of Ohio Valley Medical Center and East Ohio Regional Hospital. Through CFOV, the fund supports nonprofit organizations working to improve health and expand access to resources for individuals and families throughout the Ohio Valley.
This year’s grants support a wide range of projects addressing important health and wellness needs throughout the region. Funding will help expand access to healthcare, remove transportation barriers, provide health screenings and medical equipment, support food security, strengthen services for children and families, and promote healthy living.

The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley is excited to announce the 2026 River Valley Health Fund grant recipients.

This year, CFOV awarded $139,015 to 17 organizations working to improve health and well-being across the Ohio Valley. From expanding healthcare access and supporting food security to providing medical equipment, transportation and resources for children and families, these organizations are tackling real needs in our communities.

The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley is proud to celebrate The Bridge at its ribbon cutting and see the impact of this project come to life.

Through the Bridgeport Educational Assistance Foundation Fund, CFOV granted $45,000 toward an LED Wall, along with $16,500 from our River Valley Health Fund to support school-based health access.

We’re grateful to have played a small part in bringing this project to life and even more grateful to support work that creates new opportunities for students and families in our community.
