3rd Annual Veterans Day of Service aboard. VFW 6258 Halifax, Chapter 65 Weymouth and the VFW State Surgeon worked on the Chief's Mess, properly stacked the powder tanks for Mount 51 Handling Room, and removed every item from Damage Control 1 (forward). They cleaned everything, replaced and reorganized for best viewing. CY volunteer Mrs.B provided lunch. And on top of this, the Senior Enlisted Academy USN students visited and learned about history and heritage here in the Navy Yard. Bravo Zulu to all! To my Fellow Mass Veterans and friends please help me share this post.

A burial ceremony at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA is scheduled for next week Wednesday, January 11th at 09:30 am for US Army Luis Hernandez, a Randolph Veteran who passed without any family.

A funeral procession will be leaving Randolph MA from Cartwright's funeral home at 08:00-08:05 AM to proceed through Randolph Center, right onto Memorial Parkway past the fire station and then to Bourne.

A dignified burial ceremony will take place there at the Bourne National Cemetery.

Please help me share this info and we would appreciate all who would be able to assist us with the ceremony.

Today at 3:15am, Hershel Woodrow Williams, affectionately known by many as Woody went home to be with the Lord. Woody peacefully joined his beloved wife Ruby while surrounded by his family at the VA Medical Center which bears his name.

Details about the funeral and memorial services will be shared as that information becomes available.

Chapter 65 members aboard USS Cassin Young DD 793 in Charlestown. We performed a veterans service day aboard helping get the ship ready for visitors from all across the globe. We also visited USS Constitution and were treated to a lunch provided by the Cassin Young Volunteer Crew.
