We are now entering our third year and we’re looking for our next group of 6 business owners, leaders, professionals, tradespeople, coaches, athletes or community members to open their doors and share their career journeys and life experiences with our students this fall.

This fall, CDG Youth Leadership Academy is looking for 6 business and community leaders willing to open their doors for just 90 minutes to help students explore careers, leadership, and life lessons that last far beyond the classroom.

You don’t need a perfect presentation.
Just passion for what you do and a willingness to share it.

⭐ CDG Youth Leadership Academy Finale!

Last night we wrapped up our Fall semester at the incredible — and what a Grand Finale it was!

We were honored to be welcomed by Kennedy Ward and the amazing DSG marketing + events team, who gave our students a behind-the-scenes look at one of the most innovative “future of retail” experiences in the country. 🙌

Then came the heart of the night —
🏆 our Leadership Awards Ceremony, where we celebrated each student for their unique strengths and leadership qualities.

And after the awards?
⛸ Ice skating
🧗 Rock wall
🎉 Laughter, celebration, and pure fun!

Plus, every student received a copy of Coach Dave’s new book 'Next Point Wins!' 📘💫

We are so proud of this group and everything they’ve become over these 6 weeks.

🚗💥 What a Night at Chuck’s Auto Body!

Our CDG Youth Leadership Academy students rolled up their sleeves for an incredible hands-on session at Chuck’s Auto Body, a 3rd-generation family business that’s been built on hard work, pride, and quality since 1956.

And, they didn’t just watch — they did the work… and did it well - with a little help and coaching from the experts!

Four real-world stations:
🎨 Painting a car in the spray booth
🛢 Learning how to check oil & washer fluid
📱 Estimating the cost of repairs
🔧 Changing a tire - pit crew style!
(0:27 was the record time!)

Huge thanks to Chuck & Brian Eyerman, Alan, Steph, Jim and the entire Chuck’s team for opening your doors, sharing your craft, and giving our students a powerful look at leadership through skill, work ethic, and heart.

🏋️‍♂️💙 What a Night at AHN Sports Medicine and Performance!
Our CDG students trained with one of the top performance teams in the country, led by AHN’s Director of Sports Performance, Frank Velasquez — and they crushed it.

Three high-energy stations:
🏥 Sports Medicine & PT
💡 Recovery & Repair
💪 Strength, Speed & Agility

They tested grip strength, vertical leap, reaction time, and pro-agility and experienced elite recovery tools like red light therapy, compression boots, and theraguns. Serious athlete-level stuff!

💙🥇 “Excellence is a Team Sport.”
What an inspiring night at GKG Orthodontics!

Our CDG Youth Leadership Academy students got an inside look at leadership, precision, and teamwork in action — and left with smiles 🍪 as big as their takeaways.

From 3D scanning and lab work to hands-on practice as junior orthodontists, the GKG team showed our students what it looks like when everyone works together toward a shared vision of excellence.

A huge thank-you to Drs. Grady, Kastner & Gornick, Mel Herbinko, and the incredible GKG staff (Jenna, Hillary, Dell, Jacilyn, Virginia, & Haley) for welcoming us so warmly.

You truly embody the idea that 'Excellence Is A Team Sport.'

And a special thank-you to Olympic Gold Medalist Michael Grady for joining us and reminding everyone that striving for gold isn’t just about winning — it’s about doing your best, every day, in whatever you do. "Discipline is hard. Routine is Easy". 💫

💙🚔 What an INCREDIBLE night with the Ross Township Police Department!

From start to finish, the officers went above and beyond — sharing their stories and showing our students the many ways they serve and protect our community.

Highlights:
🚔 Special Response Team demonstration with Sgt. Garcia & Officer Roy,
🐾 K-9 session with Officers Shortley, Lloyd, and K-9 Officer Arrow,
🕵️‍♀️ Forensics experience with Detectives Moss & Orsino — complete with fingerprinting and real investigative tools,
🚨A guided tour of the police station and police vehicles.

A huge thank-you to Sgt. Garcia, Detective Moss, Detective Orsino, Officer Shortley, Officer Lloyd, and Officer Roy for your time, generosity, and passion for what you do.

You gave our students a true masterclass in teamwork, integrity, and leadership through service.💙
