Important Update from Paws of Hope CT
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the temporary closure of Paws of Hope due to life’s current demands. As much as we love and care for the animals in our community, the balance between personal obligations and the immense work required to care for our rescue animals has become unsustainable at this time.
We want to assure you that this decision was not made lightly. Our mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals is something we deeply care about, and we are committed to returning once we are able to give the animals the care and attention they deserve.
During this period, we will be pausing our intake of new animals. However, we are actively seeking ways to continue supporting our local animal welfare community during this time, and we encourage anyone interested in supporting other local rescues or adopting to explore available opportunities. We do currently have 6 cats that are still seeking their forever homes. Their ages range from 11 months to 3 years old. At this time, all of their adoption fees will be waived. We will be accepting donations in place of an adoption fee if the new family would like to give towards the veterinary costs and foster care of the other cats. This is entirely up to each individual and not required.
If you or someone you know are interested in adding a kitty or two to your family, please reach out!
Once things have settled and we are ready to begin the reopening process, we will be in need of volunteers for all parts of the animal rescue process, including but not limited to: running social media, assisting with trapping animals, fostering, fundraising, and so much more.
During this time away, we are still going to be working towards adding to our shelters and kennels that we have, and hopefully adding a building to act as our shelter and adoption center.
Thank you all for your incredible support. We look forward to the time when we can reopen our doors and continue our mission to save lives. Please stay tuned for updates, and in the meantime, we ask for your patience and understanding.
With gratitude,
The Paws of Hope CT Team
