Angels

"Keep on loving each other as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained Angels without knowing it." Hebrews 13:1-2

Today in my daily time with The Lord the book of Hebrews kept coming onto my heart. A few of my early memorized Scriptures included Hebrews 11:1 & 6. "Now Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." (Hebrews 11:1) "And without Faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that He exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." (Hebrews 11:6)

But today as I was reading The Holy Spirit reminded me of an amazing story about Angles in our midst. Over the years I have had many brothers, sisters and even unsaved people share stories that they couldn't explain other than it must have been an Angel sent from God.

I have one of those stories. For over a decade I had attended a monthly Real Estate Christian luncheon. I had a sister in Christ with a very debilitating health issue, deep vein thrombosis. I had never heard of it, but turns out the smallest cut could cause a blood clot and within minutes death if not treated immediately. This fellowship group and I had been Praying for her for months. One day a gentlemen walked in who I had never seen before (and again I'd been going for years) asked if he was in the right place and I said absolutely. He decided to sit next to me, since I'm always early and first one there, and we just shared the simple pleasantries. The leader of the group walked in and asked how my friend (we had been Praying for) was doing and I said no change.

Then this new brother asked about her symptoms, I shared and he gave me the name of a Biblical herb that she should try. Turns out he had the same condition years prior. Well she had been on the only prescribed medication from her doctors (rat poison or coumadin) and was in really bad shape. After our meeting I called her with the good news, she was extremely hesitant, but when things worsened she tried it. Her son called me within a few weeks to thank me that his mom was doing great and better than she had ever felt.

Moral of this story? That new attendee was never seen again. I knew it was nothing less than a Miracle from God, an Angel He sent to heal my friend, that as a group we had been Praying for the past year.

God is Good ALL the time right.

Trust in The Lord

"Trust in The Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all of your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

I remember the first book (after The Bible) recommended to me from the head Pastor at the Church I attended called "The Survival Kit", and the eight week study, memorizing my first weekly Scriptures including todays. Yet where others may concentrate on the first-eight words, obviously extremely important, what hit home with me were the following seven. Getting away from my pride and limited understanding, my thoughts and feelings, which is all I ever knew and giving those to a much greater Almighty power! I'm sure you all can relate. We all want to be in total control, that's the worldly perspective. But take heart, there is something so much more awesome. OMtyG-O Mighty God.

He is in ALL control. He is good ALL the time! He is perfect, we certainly are not. Just look at the major decisions being made today by humans not Praying to Him first. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the Peace of God, which transcends ALL understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7. All the brothers and sisters in my life, we have total peace, how about you?

Trouble in the world!

"I have told you these things, so that in me you will have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33

Has anyone noticed any trouble in the world and our Country lately? OMtyG, Praise the Lord I have peace knowing He is in ALL control. My heart goes out to those who don't know God. This is why our Ministry is Praying for all those unsaved, that don't know God. It seems there is a simple solution: "Common Sense or Cult." Just look at the beauty of creation, our families and friends, all provided from One source.

There is so much evil here and abroad but history tells us throughout The Bible it has and will always exist, yet we have a choice, to follow evil or follow The Good News! CALL ON THE POWERFUL NAME OF JESUS!

"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His Power that is at work within us."

In 2007-8 a group of approximately 30 non-profit organizations here in Orange County California came together for the first time to serve our homeless veterans. In San Diego an individual had put together a team over the previous 30 years to help the homeless veterans and called the event "The Stand Down." Our group (including the Church I represented and my Ministry at that time) met once a month for an entire year preparing for the first Orange County Stand Down. Whereas San Diego set aside an entire 3-day weekend, we decided to start out with a Saturday-Sunday timeframe.

It was amazing how incredible God worked, Camp Pendleton sent soldiers to set up tents, we had Doctors, Lawyers, Clothing Non-profits, Dentists, Hair Stylist, Counselors, and more set up booths providing free of charge help for these homeless veterans.

The job they gave me: Feed the people. Really? Are you kidding me? We were expecting 650 volunteers and 350 homeless veterans. Okay who's ready to do the math with me? Saturday, breakfast lunch and dinner: Sunday, breakfast and lunch. Have you counted the number of meals I would be responsible to provide? 5 X 1,000 = 5,000 meals! Ring a bell?

I was beside myself: How in the world was a small human being going to handle this task? I thought to myself, I'm not Jesus, I can't do miracles, but wait, "I have The Power of Jesus and The Holy Spirit" in me- so I Prayed. What happens next is a Miracle. God brought me the disciples. Together as a small team, we Prayed together and He opened doors I never could have done without him. I'm calling on dozens of restaurants in the area for support, little success, then my phone starts ringing; its The American Legend, "we'll take a breakfast and provide all food and staff, then not to be outdone, another military association steps up and tells me they will take the other breakfast, then one of my calls comes through and a national food chain steps up and provides dinner and staff. It was incredible that when I had these overwhelming thoughts of how would this be possible, God just stepped right in and Provided. Nothing short of another Miracle and God's Power working today! Hallelujah. Thank you Jesus.

Whenever your in a situation that seems impossible, "ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD!"

False Prophets

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6

In 2007 I was working for a general contracting company as a business development representative. My Bible was always on my desk and I would read it while on break or lunch. There was an extremely gifted project manager who obviously noticed how I spent my quiet and alone time. We became very good friends and spent quite a bit of time together on job walks and lunches outside the office. Ironically he said he believed in God and being early in my walk I assumed we were talking about the same God (I only knew One God, Jesus Christ). Please make sure you never assume anything!

Turns out he was a 3rd generation JW. Very high up in the ranks. Yet for the year we spent together, he noticed my walk and talk and become curious. One day he asked if he could attend the Church where I worshipped. I was thrilled, then he asked if he could join our Band of Brothers Gospel group, again I said absolutely. Next he wanted to be baptized in Our Lord and Savior. Praise The Lord, he began to see the REAL truths. There is only One God and as we seek after His own Heart, study and obey His Word from the One and only Bible, written God breathed1000's of years ago (not man written a 100 years ago, thus the false prophets) we can distinguish and agree on "The Way and the truth and the life."

In God, whose Word I Praise, in The Lord, whose word I Praise--in God I Trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Psalm 56:10-11.

"Train a child in the way they should go, and when they are old they will not turn from it." Proverbs 22:6

One day just over a decade ago as I was starting my day as always reading the Word and having my quiet time with God, sitting on the family room couch with my Bible in my lap, my son at that time around 12-13 years old came downstairs and looked at me, stopped for a moment and said Dad: "Haven't you finished reading that book yet?"

I immediately broke out in laughter and my response was, "son I will never be finished reading this book. The Scriptures I'm reading right now I've probably read a hundred times before (as well as reading The Bible from cover to cover a few times) and today these Words have a totally different meaning and discernment than the last time I read them."

So beautiful, how the world looks at a book, reads it and then selves it. Right. But not this one. It's God breathed. God talking to us daily with The Truth, knowledge and His Wisdom for all of us to enjoy, share and learn about His Will for our lives.

And as a Pastor once told me and where The Holy Spirit generated OMtyG (for Believers and non-believers in God)-- "There are Two kinds of people in this world, those who need Jesus, and those who need more of Jesus!" Amen,
