🌟 Thank You, Caring Village of Margate! 🌟
We are deeply grateful to the entire team at Caring Village of Margate for warmly opening your doors and hosting God’s Hand Foundation’s “Memories & Emotions” workshop as part of our ongoing Art Therapy initiatives for older adults in South Florida.
In a world dominated by digital screens, we returned to the simple, hands-on older manual games we all enjoyed as children. Through thoughtful art therapy, these classic childhood activities became powerful tools that helped our older adults:
• Reawaken cherished memories and emotions
• Sharpen memory, logic, and problem-solving skills
• Reduce stress and lift mood
• Strengthen fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
• Build meaningful connections with younger volunteers across generations
Research shows that regularly playing traditional games like board games can be linked to a lower dementia risk. One major study found about 15 percent lower risk among regular players, while also supporting cognitive health and emotional well-being. These hands-on activities offer something special that endless screen time often misses.
A special thank-you to our younger volunteers whose energy and presence turned this into a beautiful intergenerational experience filled with smiles, stories, and shared laughter.
This is exactly what God’s Hand Foundation was created to do: transform later years into a beautiful new chapter filled with Art, Purpose & Dignity.
