The final tournament weekend of the summer has arrived.

While this weekend originally looked a little different on the calendar, we’re excited to have five Northwoods teams heading north to Duluth for the Art Von Memorial Tournament to close out another unforgettable season.

From the first practice of the spring to the final weekend of tournament baseball, this season has been filled with growth, friendships, adversity, victories, and countless memories. Every mile traveled, every early morning, every extra inning, and every cheer from the bleachers has helped make Northwoods Baseball what it is.

It’s hard to believe, but we’re heading into one of the final weekends of the Northwoods Baseball Select season.

What started with chilly spring practices has turned into a summer full of road trips, tournament weekends, dugout celebrations, and memories our players will carry with them long after the last out.

This weekend, three teams are back in action at the Firework Finale in Plover:

It’s hard to believe we’re already in the middle of July.

After months of practices, countless innings, and weekends spent chasing baseball across the Midwest, another incredible Northwoods Baseball Select season is flying by. But there’s still plenty of baseball left to be played—and every tournament from here on out matters.

This weekend’s post is landing a little earlier than usual because Northwoods Baseball is hitting the road and heading beyond Wisconsin.

Today, our 10U, 11U, 12U Wirkus, and 13U Spets teams begin play in Battle Creek, Michigan at the TBR National Championship—one of the biggest and most competitive events on our summer schedule.

Championship weekends aren’t easy.

They require players willing to battle through long days, coaches managing pitching staffs across five guaranteed games, and families making significant sacrifices to make the experience possible. Extra days off work. Hotel stays. Miles on the road. Early mornings and late nights. It’s a commitment that extends far beyond the baseball field.

But these are the moments our athletes work for.

The opportunity to compete at a high level, challenge themselves against elite competition, and create memories with teammates that will last long after the final out.
