Neighbors Helping Neighbors - Westminster, MA NHN is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization to benefit the residents of Westminster, MA How can you help Neighbors Helping Neighbors be a success?

Neighbors Helping Neighbors is celebrating 34 years as an all-volunteer non-profit organization whose mission is to provide assistance to residents of Westminster who are faced with tragedy or financial difficulties due to reasons beyond their control. Whether you are interested in helping out on Town Benefit Day (second Sunday in August) or are willing to take ownership of a booth or activity on

the day of the event, we want you to get involved! If you are unable to attend Benefit Day or would like to make a tax-deductible donation to Neighbors Helping Neighbors at any time during the year, please mail your check to P.O. Box 63, Westminster, MA 01473

Since its inception in 1987 when the goal was to help one friend, Neighbors Helping Neighbors has touched the lives of hundreds of different families through 2021 and has raised over a half a million dollars to help these families get through difficult times. After two postponements and what we're pretty sure was a curse placed on us by a shark... we're finally ready to screen *JAWS* at Crocker Pond tomorrow night! 🦈🍿

And for once, Mother Nature appears to be on our side. ☀️

Join Parks & Rec on Saturday evening for an outdoor movie under the stars. FREE popcorn (while supplies last), and Maddy's Ice Cream Truck will be on-site with treats available for purchase. 🍦

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, family, friends, and your healthy fear of open water.

FINAL DECISION!! Game Time: SUNDAY @ 5:00PM!

We admit there has been some confusion regarding the start time to Sunday's Police/Fire vs Coaches/Volunteers Softball Game. But after the back and forth of player and field availability, and now a final decision based on weather, the game is scheduled to start at 5:00PM on Sunday the 7th!

The actual field (softball vs major) is to be determined based on conditions after the rain. And should the weather or field conditions not cooperate, we will reschedule by 2:00PM and post on social media with an update.

We appreciate the support and understanding as we navigate the weather! We are still hoping for an amazing community night!

Mother Nature is playing the rainy weekend game again this year!

Unfortunately, with a high probability of drenching thunderstorms coming through right at the start of our movie showing, we have decided to POSTPONE the movie night to Saturday, June 13th with the same time, place, location and details.

🚨 HIGH IMPACT WINTER STORM ALERT – Westminster Residents

🚨Sunday Night through Monday

The Westminster Police Department is advising residents to prepare for a major winter storm expected to impact the region beginning Sunday evening and lasting into Monday. A State of Emergency has been declared by the Governor in advance of the storm.

What to Expect:• Heavy snowfall developing Sunday night• Strong, gusty winds• Possible blizzard conditions• Periods of whiteout visibility• Travel that may become dangerous or impossible• Potential power outages from heavy snow and wind

Timing:• Sunday Daytime: Mostly cloudy, storm developing late• Sunday Evening/Night: Snow intensifies; winds increase• Monday: Snow continues with strong winds before gradually tapering

Please prepare now:✔ Charge electronic devices✔ Have supplies ready in case of power outages✔ Avoid unnecessary travel Sunday night through Monday✔ Check on elderly or vulnerable neighbors✔ Keep roads clear of parked vehicles so DPW plows can safely clear streets
