Scouting - A Family Affair
I grew up in a Scouting family when I was a little girl. My mother was by my side throughout as a leader and supporter. I joined as a Brownie and stuck with it through Seniors, earning my Silver and Gold Award. I went on to become a Cadet Co-Leader and a lifetime Girl Scout. When the opportunity arose to have my son join BSA as a kindergartener I jumped at the opportunity. This has been an amazing journey so far for both of us. To see the excitement as he works towards his goals and face of accomplishment when he reaches them is amazing. We are only in our second year working toward his Tiger, but I see many years to come in our future. We love to travel so being able to gear excursions into learning and scouting experiences is a plus.
