Nashoba Valley Photo Club At Nashoba Valley Photo Club, we operate on the theme of making photography fun. Join us!

We provide a venue for you to share your work with others at our regular meetings and to learn more about new technologies at our learning sessions. We participate in regional competitions and other interclub activities.Our own activities include digital and print salons throughout the year as well as field trips to a variety of New England places and destinations worthy of photographic interest.

The Nashoba Valley Photo Club offers special presentations, salons, instruction, workshops, socialbility and fun field trips. Share your interest and enthusiasm with us - we have plenty to share with you. We meet most Wednesdays from 7:00 PM - 9 PM in the Sturtz Meeting Room at the Reuben Hoar Library located at 35 Shattuck Street, Littleton, MA, or on zoom meetings.

Tonight and upcoming:

On Wednesday May 1: The club will have its May salon commencing at 7pm at Westford’s Fletcher Library. For digital images, the assigned subject is “Industrial” and the club choice is “Macro and Close Up”. Mounted prints will also be judged. Paul Smith will be our judge this month.

From May 1 to May 15: Submissions are open for the “Image of the Year” Salon. Members may submit digital images of their choice from high scoring images submitted by them during the “year” (i.e. from September to May). Members may also bring up to 4 (2 color + 2 black and white) previously submitted prints for the “Print of the Year”.

On Wednesday May 29: the “Image of the Year” Salon will begin at 7pm at the Reuben Hoar Library, with Raj Alamanda as our judge.

From Friday March 1 until Friday March 15 our ‪Website is open for members to enter digital images into the April Salon. ‬ In addition to “open” and “nature” categories, the assigned subject is “Ground Level” and the club choice is “Scapes”. The judge will be Sharon Colacino. The earliest capture date is April, 2022. On salon nights, mounted prints may also be submitted by members for judging and critique. From December 1 until December 15 our ‪Website is open for members to enter digital images into the January Salon. ‬ In addition to “open” and “nature” categories, the assigned subject is “Flash Photography” and the club choice is “Scapes”. Our judge will be Don Toothacker. The earliest capture date for digital images and prints is January, 2022. On salon nights, mounted prints may also be submitted by members for judging and critique. On Wednesday December 13 The Photographers Round Table will be held virtually at 7pm. A Zoom link has been provided to members. Relevant topics will include: (1)exposing for snow and (2)cold weather camera protection.

On Thursday December 14 the club will have its holiday party and Yankee gift swap at the Westford Sportsmen’s Club, starting at 7:00pm. Members may bring one color 5x7 print and one black and white 5x7 print for the mini-print competition. Members wishing to participate in the Yankee Swap should bring a giftwrapped present of approximately $15 in value. Members can also optionally bring a dessert item to share. This is a BYOB event.

For digital images, January’s assigned subject is “Flash Photography” and the club choice is “Scapes”. On salon nights, members may submit mounted prints for judging and critique. Our judge will be Michael Goodman. The earliest capture date for digital images and prints is November, 2021. On Friday October 13 Jim Coutre will be conducting an Orientation and Printing Primer at October Farm for members. If a member is interested, see his email from Friday October 6th for sign up details.

From October 16 until October 31 our Website is open for digital entries into the November #2 Salon. The one category is the assigned topic “Bridges”. Our judge will be Paul Parisi.

‪On Wednesday October 18 ‬the Photographer’s Round Table will be a Zoom meeting commencing‪ at 7pm. ‬This is the club's photography group focusing on open discussion about member photographs so members to learn from each other.

On Wednesday , October 25 there will be a board of director's meeting via zoom.

On Wednesday November 1 the club will have its November salon. The venue is the Reuben Hoar Library in Littleton. The meeting commences at 7pm. From September 1 until September 15 our ‪Website is open for members to enter digital images into the October Salon. ‬ In addition to “open” and “nature” categories, the assigned subject is “Portraits” and the club choice is “Scapes”. Our judge will be Art Vaughn. The earliest capture date for digital images and prints is October, 2021. This is the first time since pre-Covid days that the minimum capture date for Digital and Print images will be aligned. On salon nights, mounted prints may also be submitted by members for judging and critique. ‪On Wednesday September 20 we will be having our annual open house at the ‬Reuben Hoar Library starting at 7pm. Tom and Lisa Cuchara will be sharing their Wabi Sabi presentation. We hope to see many new faces at this annual club event.

On Wednesday , September 27 will be the Digital Users’ Group meeting at the Littleton Library starting at 7pm. Focus will be for new members who may have questions about the club, salons, etc. if an existing member has questions about Visual Pursuits, the rules, etc...feel free to join the call.

Members may also bring up to 4 (2 color + 2 black and white) previously submitted prints for the “Print of the Year”.

On Wednesday June 7: Our annual Banquet/Awards night will be held at the Westford Sportsmen’s Club from 6-10pm. The sign up deadline is May 31st.

On Wednesday May 17: The Photographer’s Round Table will meet‪ at 7pm via Zoom. ‬This is the club's photography group focusing on open discussion about member photographs so members to learn from each other.

On Wednesday May 24: Planning for the annual banquet and awards night will take place by Zoom at 7pm. A Zoom invite will be forthcoming.
