I do not only grieve
the son I lost.

I grieve the years
that were waiting for him.

The mornings he should have lived through.
The older version of him
I was supposed to meet slowly.

I think about the man
he was still becoming.
The lessons he would have learned.
The life that still had his name on it.

And that grief is different.

Because it is not only about memory.
It is about possibility.
About watching an entire future
disappear without warning.

People talk about losing someone
as if it is only losing who they were.

But losing a son
is also losing every version of him
that never got the chance to exist.

And somehow
that ache keeps unfolding forever.

GVHD is the war after the battle. It’s relentless. It’s not curable only “treatable”. GVHD caused the “perfect” storm that stole Finn’s life. Be aware . Be educated. Be an advocate.

Our angel boy is doing GREAT things from heaven! Friends of Finn Foundation was chosen as our local WTHR 13 nonprofit of the week! Our foundation will be featured each day during Scott Swan’s Share the Love segment! This is the first time Friends of Finn has been noticed publicly. I know Finn is so very proud and we are so thankful for the opportunity to share Finn’s mission and move his legacy forward 🧡

A heartbreaking message from an Alabama teenager is making its way across social media tonight.

Will Roberts is fighting osteosarcoma - an aggressive bone cancer — and after 16 months of treatment, he says the options are running out.

In a video (shared in comments below) Will speaks directly to anyone willing to listen. He’s asking people to share his story and tag Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in hopes of getting their attention.

His family has identified a treatment — DeltaRex-G — that could offer a chance, but they say the cost is overwhelming.

Will’s message is simple and powerful: he wants a chance to live.

This momma is AMAZING! Her son is a Friend of Finn. He was diagnosed with the exact same high risk AML Finn was. He was also diagnosed 3 years to the EXACT date Finn was…12/22.
He is currently in the thick of Bone Marrow Transplant. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.Read her post. She says so much more than I ever could 🧡

Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
A name that sounds clinical,
but lives like a storm.⛈️

It is swift. Ruthless.
A thief of marrow, 🧬
a trespasser in blood.🩸

AML, a terminal cancer with a cure,
a paradox that lives in hospital rooms,
work places, grocery stores, and schools.

Its remedies are not gentle.
They are war.👊
Chemotherapies,
radiation,
transplants built on the
breathtaking kindness
of strangers.

This is one of the only cancers
where humanity itself
can become the cure.

People ask me,
“How do you do it?”

And I don’t have an answer.

Because the real question is-
how does he?🥹

How does a 17 year old body
endure poison in its veins,
the erasure of its own immune system,
the hollowing of bone marrow, transplant,
and
He smiles.
And I stand in awe of that.

Because I know-
I would not have been this brave.

As a mother,
I live in the in-between:
holding basins, stealing moments to-
silently let my heart shatter on a
hospital bathroom floor,
wiping bleeding ulcers,
tending to a body at war with itself.

I watch chemicals thread their way
to his heart,
to his spine,
to his brain,
to the hidden corners
where this cancer likes to disappear
and wait.

AML does not stay still.❌
It circulates.
It grows.
It takes.

It looks like sleepless nights,
like bruises that bloom without reason,
like fevers that burn too high,
like wounds that refuse to close.

It sounds like shallow breath,
like quiet pain in tired legs.

And still,
there is hope to CURE.🎗️

Five years.
No evidence of disease.❌
The word cured whispered like a prayer.
