Words cannot begin to express my gratitude for your love and support through my years as coordinator of Westerville Special Olympics. It has been my privilege to serve and work alongside you for the past 20 years. Our athletes, coaches, families, and fans are the very best.

The party thrown in honor of my retirement was amazing! Thank you all so much for taking time out of your busy, crazy lives to be there. It meant so much to me, and it’s a memory I will cherish forever. The cards, notes, hugs, and gifts touched my soul! You all are such a blessing to me! Special thanks to MaryAlice Evans for all her hard work to make it so special!

Thank you to Westerville Mayor, David Grimes, and Westerville Vice Mayor, Kelley Stocker for recognizing my service to Westerville Special Olympics.

Thank you StowBilly BBQ, Dan and Chris for providing the delicious dinner! SO YUMMY!!!! 😋

As we look forward, I’m so excited that Jen and Maria are stepping in as co-coordinators! They are incredibly talented and will do amazing things!
I am so excited for what the next chapter at WSO will bring!

Congratulations to our 2026 graduates! 🎓

Meet Joy! Joy is 19 years old and graduating from Westerville North High School. During her high school career, she enjoyed participating in cheer and dance.

Joy's favorite part of high school was participating in dance and cheer. She also loved homecoming and prom each year, and being able to get dressed up, go to dinner with friends and dance all night! One of the highlights for Joy was a trip to the basketball state finals with the team, where she stayed overnight and shared a room with two other cheer friends.

This summer, Joy is looking forward to spending her time swimming!

Joy's family shared, "I am very proud of you. Keep shining and be brave!"
