The America 250 Time Capsule visited our Westerly-Pawcatuck Branch, and we were honored to contribute an Annual Report, Program Guide, and some of our favorite photos. These items will remain sealed until they’re opened 100 years from now, giving future generations a glimpse into our Y, our members, and our community from the year 2026!

🌟 Community, connection, and a lot of smiles at this morning’s Senior Wellness class at the Naik Family Branch!

Our amazing seniors recently made their own “Mostly Vertical Club” t-shirts — complete with the motto: “Technically, getting out of bed counts.” 💪😂

These classes are about so much more than fitness — they’re about friendship, encouragement, and showing up for one another every day. We love seeing this kind of spirit and camaraderie in our YMCA community! ❤️

The Wellbeing Collaborative is excited to be hosting a free learning opportunity open to any and all faith leaders. As trusted members of our community who interact with people everyday, we plan to provide a better understanding about opioids, overdose prevention, su***de prevention, and other helpful wellness tips to care for yourself and the people you serve.

📸 A big thank you to Rhode Island Senator Victoria Gu for visiting our Westerly-Pawcatuck Branch yesterday and presenting us with a $1,000 legislative grant! 🙌 This generous support will help enhance our youth and teen programming with much-needed supplies. We’re grateful for your commitment to community and investment in our future leaders! 💙

Today’s shines a light on the incredible impact of RI Silent Camp at Camp Watchaug ❤️

Every summer, RI Silent Camp spends a weekend at Camp Watchaug that is dedicated to connection, inclusion, and community. What began as an idea from a former YMCA camper has grown into a meaningful tradition that brings Deaf and hearing communities together through a fully immersive American Sign Language experience.

As Jesse & Jennifer shared:
“We use Silent Camp to break down the barriers of communication… turning curiosity into understanding.”

Experiences like this are what the Y is all about — creating spaces where everyone feels welcome, connected, and understood. 🧡

What an incredible Senior Day at the Westerly-Pawcatuck Branch! 💙

Thank you to all of the amazing vendors, community partners, and attendees who joined us to make this event such a success. From wellness screenings and balance demonstrations to community resources and raffles, the day was filled with connection, education, and fun!

We are so grateful for the organizations and individuals who help support healthy aging and strengthen our community every day. Thank you for being part of it!

What an amazing day at the YMCA YPN Chapter 3 Annual Spring Conference! 💙💚

Our team had the opportunity to connect with YMCA peers from across Connecticut and Rhode Island, collaborate, learn from one another, and celebrate the incredible work happening throughout our Ys.

A very special congratulations to our Sports Director, Brian Buckley, on receiving the YMCA Rising Star Award ⭐👏 This award recognizes YMCA professionals within their first two years of employment who are already making a meaningful impact on their department, coworkers, and the communities they serve — and Brian truly embodies that mission every day.
