“Today, I am learning to give myself the compassion I never learned as a child. I am learning that rest is not weakness, that boundaries are healthy, and that my worth is not determined by how much I do for others. Most importantly, I am learning that healing does not require me to forget my past. It simply requires me to stop letting it define my future.”

As children, traumatic upbringings can be hard to identify in the moment. We don't see the dysfunction, we adapt to stay safe.

Before summer slips away, say yes to the beach walk.
Stay a little longer at dinner.
Watch one more sunset.
Laugh until your cheeks hurt.
Put your phone down and be fully present with the people you love.
The little moments have a way of becoming the ones you remember most.

Make this August count. 🙌💕😉
