When we talk about bringing together innovative, best-in-class science, this is exactly what we mean.

Our recent collaboration with PrecisionLife and Metrodora Institute has led to a groundbreaking study that confirms key genetic associations with Long COVID across diverse populations. By analyzing data from both the UK and the US, we found that 88% of the genes identified in our initial UK study were also present in the US cohort. This remarkable consistency across different populations strengthens our understanding of Long COVID's genetic underpinnings.

It’s important to take a moment to celebrate the strength, identity, and worth that remains in the face of complex conditions. It’s a reminder that our conditions don’t define us- our resilience and who we are at our core remain unchanged. Your voice is powerful in demonstrating to both yourself and the world that, no matter the challenge, we are always .

Hi everyone! It’s Community Coordinator, Alexandra Cohen. In honor of Feeding Tube Awareness Week, I want to share how these life-saving interventions have kept me alive. It’s been two years since I became dependent on tube feeds.

My chronic conditions include comorbidities that severely impair my Gastrointestinal (GI) system, making it nearly impossible for me to tolerate food. Despite my best efforts, by the end of 2022 my body began to shut down from severe malnutrition, leading to frequent hospitalizations. This led to the placement of a nasogastric (NG) tube, my first feeding tube. What was hoped to be temporary has become an indefinite long-term necessity, leading to my Jejunal Tube (J-Tube)—or as I call it, my second belly button.

Managing my complex GI conditions remains a challenge, but I’m grateful for modern medical interventions. With ongoing research from the Metrodora Foundation, I hold onto hope for a future without enteral nutrition.

To my fellow tubies—you are seen, you are strong.
