n this field while devoting her free time to serving her community. Much to the delight of her long time West Sacramento family and friends, her family of five planted firm roots in West Sacramento. She has a successful 25+ year career in the real estate building, facilities, construction and project management field alongside 20+ years as a community volunteer and advocate. She currently serves on the Yolo Food Bank Board, is a Chartered Organization Representative and Den Leader for the Scouts of America, member of the WUSD Community Schools Steering Committee, River City High School (RCHS) Booster Club member, is a co-Advisor for the RCHS Black Student Union, and a mentor to the RCHS Asian Pacific Islander club. Throughout her years of volunteerism and advocacy, she has been on the planning committee or participated in various district and city-wide events such as WUSD’s National Night Out, WUSD’s Kwanzaa Celebration, City of West Sacramento Juneteenth Celebration and the West Sacramento/Yolo County Youth Summit on Climate Action. She can also be found under a mound of gifts in the month of December as the organizer of the Giving Tree holiday program, walking in the Veteran's Day parade alongside Scouts, hosting games in the city's Trunk or Treat event, or giving out food alongside Yolo Food Bank volunteers. Patrice continues to be a hands-on volunteer inside and outside of elementary through high school classrooms. She collaborates with community members, city leaders, students, staff and teachers as their work continues to uplift the entire community. Known as a community fixture for unifying many through active engagement, she continues her commitment to serving by providing resources such as free food via a farmers’ market to students, teachers and staff as well as helping to start a WUSD and city-wide No Room for Hate initiative. Her passion to appropriately unify the community while serving those around her is parallel to actively listening while respectfully responding. Patrice is ready for an active role on the board and looks forward to transforming her years of programmatic work to lending a helpful hand in creating as well as shaping policies. Her dedication to the students, families, teachers and staff solidifies the need for her much-needed presence on the board!
