Thank you to Mrs. Kathy and Mr. Grover with Lonesome Pine Farms for sharing the love and joy with us from their garden. We are truly grateful and honored to receive part of the proceeds from the foods they grow on their farm. This is such an incredibly kind way to give back to those in our Troup County community, and we thank you for helping us Bring MARYment and Spread JOY through scholarships and acts of kindness! Thank you to The Exceptional Way for remembering Mary Joy and her service with your organization, and we feel so blessed to be linked with y'all as well through Mary Joy's service there and through the generosity from Mr. and Mrs. Golden. We are truly honored to be a part of this blessing and look forward to paying it forward to others through our mission. 🩷🎀

🩷🎀 What a wonderful blessing! Thank you, Lonesome Pine Farms for supporting our mission. We are honored to be recognized along with The Exceptional Way as recipients of the proceeds.

We are deeply grateful to Mr. Grover and Mrs. Kathy Thrower Golden of Lonesome Pine Farms for their continued generosity. For the second year in a row, they have graciously donated the proceeds from the foods they grow on their farm to us at The Exceptional Way. They turned their love of farming into a way to give back to our community, and we are one of the recipients of their love and care. We are honored to share their generosity this year with the Mary Joy Moosman Foundation. The legacy MJ’s family continues to build in her memory is a gift to our local community and we love that The Goldens support benefits both causes. MJ worked with special needs students in our local school system at the annual Progress Prom event not long before she passed away, and we can’t help but think she would love our people if she were here, and would surely spread some of her joy our way. We appreciate the Goldens and so many who are helping honor her memory, and are grateful to be linked to her family’s organization in such a deep way.

Thank you to the kids ministry at West End Baptist Church. They couldn't come to Mary Joy's Lemonade Stand in West Point last Saturday, so they held their very own lemonade stand on a previous date and donated all the proceeds to help us with our mission.
Their signatures on the card were just precious! Thank you 🩷🍋🎀✝️

🩷🎀🍋 Love thy neighbors 🫶
His son would be 52 this year. His son lost his life after being in a tragic car wreck at the age of 21. He shared about his son and his personal life and faith in the midst of the sorrow.
He said he grew up in West Point and went to Troup High when Troup High was on Whitesville Rd. I told him that was my middle school. He was Mr. popular, and I could definitely tell because he still had the charisma and smile of a teenager. He was Mr. THS in the 60s, a star football player, and had a full paid football scholarship to the Citadel, but his parents wouldn't let him go because that would mean he'd have to serve after graduating. His older brother was sent to Vietnam, so rightfully so, his parents just didn't want him to do it. He's lived many places, but settled down in our hometown. He use to bike eleven miles a day all around West Point and the lake area. He is almost 80 now and had open heart surgery in December, and wears a scar to prove it inside and out. He told me he didn't know what God was doing, but that's just one of the greatest mysteries. We just have to keep the faith. He knows the pain I carry, and tears welled up in his baby blue eyes as he talked. He wanted me to know that God is in our story, and it brought me joy just getting to meet a neighbor from up the street for the first time.
Everyone is carrying something. You just never know what that something is, so that's why it's so important to be kind. Kindness is free, and joy is the most magnetic force in the universe.
