We are so excited to have received this prestigious honor.

Congratulations to Women of Note Chorus - SUI . Not only did they win the overall competition, but they also received the "Deena Tatenblatt Showmanship Award".

The Deena Tatenblatt Award is named in honor of Deena, a member of the Toast of Tampa Show Chorus. She was affectionately known as the "Little General." Despite her small stature, Deena was a formidable presence within the region, serving in various roles, most notably on the Competition Team. She was constantly cheerful and consistently performed to the highest standards, embodying the qualities of a bright, shining star.

In tribute to Deena, Dee and Doh Lahr sponsored a traveling trophy awarded to the chorus with the highest Showmanship, now defined as the Visual Communication score, within the Regional Contest. This ensures that Deena’s legacy continues to shine brightly across Region 9.
