Palm Beach County Annual Youth Summit More than 500 youth from all over the county convenes every year at Palm Beach Lakes High School for the PBC Annual Youth Summit! and ends at 2:30 p.m.

On Saturday, April 25, 2015, more than 300 youth from all over the county will convene at Palm Beach Lakes High School in West Palm Beach for the fifth annual Palm Beach County Youth Summit. The day-long summit is themed "The Weight of My Words and Actions". The event kicks off at 8:00 a.m. Registration and breakfast start at 8:00 a.m. The purpose of the Palm Beach County Youth Summit is to provid

e local middle and high school aged youth with a unique opportunity to explore and address areas of concern impacting them. Youth will participate in relevant interactive workshops to include the following dynamic areas of focus: Violence and Gang Prevention, Substance Abuse Awareness, Health, Education, and Employment. The youth will receive 10 hours of community service, giveaway items, and will be eligible to participate in raffles throughout the day. Partners for the Youth Summit include Urban League of Palm Beach County, Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, City of West Palm Beach, Palm Beach County Substance Awareness Coalition, Planned Parenthood/Teen Time, Palm Beach County School District, the Department of Children & Families, and Children Home Society.

The first Palm Beach County Annual Youth Summit took place in 2012 at Gaines Park. The Urban League of Palm Beach County and PBSO - Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office were the first two sponsors for this event 13 years ago. We remain partnered to this day with the same mission in mind: "We all are responsible for the success of our community. The youth are our future leaders and with your support, we can positively impact their lives." Now serving around 600 youth versus our original 100, we are proud to continue sponsoring and planning this summit each year.
