January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month and the incidence of cervical cancer for Latina women in the United States is highest amongst all racial/ethnic groups, almost twice as high as non-Latina white women. Latinas’ limited access to adequate cervical cancer screenings is a result of barriers to access.(National Latina Institute for Reproductive Health). Please make an appt and get your annual Pap test. If you don't have health insurance, in box me.

Hope House receiving donations from Casa

These are the toys collected through Casa Mama Doñas toy drive. Enough were collected to make 22 kids at St Joseph's Home and 22 Kids at Hope House happy. Both places in Jersey City. This was possible thanks to Yackelyn Morales, Maritza Carreras, Reina Peña, Sandra Peña, Milagros Liriano, Luis Santiago..

Luis and I making sure that children in St Joseph's Home have a smile this Chris...tmas..thanks to all the kind hearted people that were part of this act of love for kids! Also thanks to Karen Morales Girls for wrapping gifts for children less fortunate!

Today's inspiration,
When I woke up this morning, I asked myself, "what is life about". I found the answer in my room. The fan told me, "Be cool". The ceiling said, "Aim high". The clock said, "Every minute counts". The mirror said, "Reflect before you act". The calendar said, "Be up to date". The door said, "Push hard for your goals". Lastly, the floor said, "Kneel down and pray. Needless to say I spent 20 min asking God to help everyone that is in need of his grace.

Casa is collecting toys/ presents to donate at a Jersey City Shelter on Monday 12/19. Please donate a toy or 5-10 dollars to buy a Christmas present for a group of 26 children between the ages of newborn to 12. Contact me via phone or inbox me to make your donations.
