NEW WEEK•NEW PRAYERS•

ANOTHER GLIMPSE BEHIND THE WALLS

This week, we’re sharing another glimpse inside the hearts of the incarcerated men at David Wade Correctional. These prayers are real, raw, and deeply personal. They are words from hearts that are hurting, hoping, seeking, and learning to trust the Lord in the middle of their circumstances.
These men trust us to carry their requests to the throne of grace, and we don’t take that responsibility lightly.

Will you join us in intercession?

As you read their requests, don’t just read the words. Pause. Pray. Stand in the gap. Lift these men before the Lord, believing He hears every prayer, sees every tear, and knows every heart.

Tonight, we return behind the walls to spend more time sharing the Word of God with these men. Please pray that their hearts would be tender to His truth, their minds open to His Word, and their lives transformed by the power of Jesus. Pray for boldness, understanding, repentance, healing, and a deeper hunger for the One who can make all things new.

We may see prison walls, but our God is not limited by them.

You know those moments when the Lord allows you to catch a glimpse of what He’s been doing behind the scenes? The moments when He reminds you that not one seed planted in obedience is ever wasted?
A few months ago, we spent time at the 28-day rehab program at Resurgence Recovery Adult & Teen Challenge and met a sweet young man who was hungry for the Word but didn’t have a Bible of his own. We brought him one, shared Jesus with him, shared a piece of our story, and took the time to hear about his life and his family. ❤️
Last night, we got to see him again, and what he shared with us was one of those moments you tuck away in your heart forever.

He told us, “When I feel like giving up, I look at that piece of paper from y’all and know I can’t let these two ladies down who took their time to share Jesus with me and truly spent time getting to know my life and my family. So I will complete this program and change the legacy I’m building.”

Whew. 🥹

You see, this is why we go.
We go behind the walls, but we also go into rehabs, because our prayer is that maybe, just maybe, someone will chase Jesus BEFORE they ever become identified by a DOC number.
Before another family is broken by incarceration. Before another legacy is repeated. Before shame, addiction, and brokenness write the next chapter of their story.
We want them to know there is another way. There is a Savior who sees them, loves them, and offers them a new life. There is a different legacy to build when Jesus becomes the foundation.
And sometimes, we get the beautiful privilege of seeing a little glimpse of what the Lord is doing with the seeds we’ve planted.

We don’t always get to see what the true Gardener does with those seeds. We may never know how a conversation, a Bible, a prayer, or simply taking the time to listen will take root in someone’s heart.
But when He lets us see it? He is always cultivating something beautiful.
May we never underestimate the power of showing up, sharing Jesus, and seeing people the way He sees them.
It was never about us. It has always been about Him.
And if this sweet young man ever reads this, we pray you keep your feet planted in His Word, keep chasing Jesus, and keep believing that the legacy you build from here can look different from the one behind you.

All glory to the One who makes all things new. ❤️

PRAYERS FROM PRISON IS BACK

Back behind the walls.
Back listening to the hearts of these men.
Back carrying their prayers before the throne room of Jesus.
This week, we’re praying for men who are learning what it means to plant their feet firmly on the Word of God—especially when they cannot see what’s ahead.
There are unknowns.
There are hard decisions.
There are questions without answers.
There are moments when the next step isn’t clear.
But God’s Word is steady.
We’re praying they won’t be moved by what they see, what they feel, or what they don’t understand. That they would anchor themselves to what they know. That God is faithful, His promises are true, and He goes before them.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
Psalm 119:105
Lord, help these men plant their feet on Your truth and take the next step even when the path is unknown. Give them courage to trust You before they can see the outcome. Let Your Word become their foundation, their direction, and their hope.

Prayers from prison.

There is more than a thousand words to describe this moment but right now, I am left speechless. This is God’s redemption story.
Not so long ago, these ladies sat before us-hard, broken, in yellow, fighting for not only freedom from the walls of prison but freedom in Jesus. Only our Lord knew this moment would be taking place a few years later! These women went from bound in physical and spiritual chains-to walking in physical and spiritual freedom! Praise God!!!

These moments are so powerful: we aren’t the ones creating the throne-room moment. The King has already opened the way. Our role as intercessors is simply to help women turn their eyes toward Him.

Thanks be to God for His invitation to the throne room of Heaven!

35 years ago, these newspaper articles told a story that changed our family forever.

They are real.
They are raw.
And they carry words that still have weight.

A tragedy that was meant to destroy.
A loss that left wounds.
A family that could have been defined by what happened to us.

But the enemy does not get the final word.

What was meant for destruction, God has used for redemption. What came from ashes, He has cultivated into something beautiful for His Kingdom.

Thirty-five years later, we can look at these articles and remember the pain—but we can also see the fingerprints of a faithful God who never left us.

ReDefined.

Not because the past didn’t happen.
Not because the pain wasn’t real.
But because God has the power to take what was broken and give it a new purpose.

And perhaps one of the most humbling parts of this story is that 35 years after the tragedy that tried to destroy our families, my sister and I will stand together praying over hundreds of girls as we usher them into the throne room at the LO Sister Conference.

Only God could write a story like that.

The enemy tried to write the ending 35 years ago.

But God was still writing.

“For You, O Lord, are good and ready to forgive, and abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You.” Psalm 86:5 🤍

This is redemption.
This is restoration.
This is ReDefined.

🤍New Week•New Prayers 🤍

Our hearts continue to yearn for these men, not simply for changed circumstances, but for changed hearts. We pray they would accept the Lord’s forgiveness, lay down the shame and guilt they’ve carried, and truly believe that they are not defined by their past, their mistakes, or the walls around them.

May they walk in confidence knowing whose they are. They are sons of the Most High, fully loved, fully forgiven, and made new in Christ.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
2 Corinthians 5:17

Lord, let these men know the freedom that comes from being forgiven. Give them courage to walk forward in their new identity, not looking back at who they were, but living boldly as who You have called them to be.
