UTLS made the front page of the Miami County Foundation Spring 2026 Magazine, referencing a grant we received to purchase a new video laryngoscope, a medical tool used to assist with placing breathing tubes, in patients experiencing a cardiac arrest.
Grant funding plays a vital role in our ability to upgrade essential equipment. With improved tools and technology, we are better able to provide patients with effective care in a timely manner.
We extend our greatest thanks to the Miami County Foundation for awarding us with the grant in 2025!

With St. Patrick's day just around the corner, the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration), reminds the public that sober driving saves lives.
Here are a few tips to help everyone enjoy the holiday:
• Always drive 100% sober. Even one alcoholic beverage could be one too many.
• You have options to get home safely: Designate a sober driver or call a taxi or rideshare. Getting home safely is always worth it.
• If it’s your turn to be the designated driver, take your job seriously and don’t drink.
• If you see a drunk driver on the road, contact local law enforcement.
• If you have a friend who is about to drink and drive, take the keys away and let a sober driver get your friend home safely.
Make memories, not mistakes. The best way to wrap up your St. Patrick's celebration? A safe, sober ride home. 🍀Buzzed Driving Is Drunk Driving.🍀
