Our goal is to reach a fair solution, not a lawsuit. Together, we can make a difference by uniting for a common goal and ensuring accountability in local governance. City Council meets this Tuesday (Nov 5th) at 7:30 p.m. at the WL Public Library. Community members can attend any council meeting and address the City Council during the "Public Comments" portion of the meeting. These are formal meetings so you will get only 2 minutes to speak in front of City leaders. Council cannot take action on items during Public Comment but it's a valuable chance to speak up and demand accountability. 🔥

Here is the agenda the City Council meeting on Tuesday. There is also an option to join via Zoom.https://cityofwestlibertyia.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/SCOWL-SCAN24110108590.pdf

Either way you have the right to 2 minutes during Agenda Item #5.2 to speak up as a Friend of WLFD demanding that the City of West Liberty immediately stop stalling and negotiate a fair and updated 28-E agreement that creates a joint agency to oversee fire and EMS services. Find talking points at FriendsofWLFD.com.
